Food of Christmas Past - an interactive talk @ True's Yard

Join Museum Curator, Lindsey, and Deputy Manager, Tabitha, for a special Christmas edition of our True’s Talks.
Through fun historical facts, anecdotes and food tasters, Lindsey and Tabitha will transport you on a journey through time to explore festive food favourites of the past.
The talk is free to attend but booking is essential as spaces are limited. To book, please contact the museum via 01553 770479 or info@truesyard.co.uk.
The talk will be held on-site in the Pat Midgley Research Centre.

True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum and All Saints Church are joining forces to put on a Carol Service. There will be a chance to sing your favourite carols accompanied by a choir and church organ. Plus historical readings about Christmases past. All followed by Mulled Wine and Mince Pies. A wonderful opportunity to get into the festive spirit.
This event is free to attend but donations are most welcome to support the Museum’s community projects and All Saint’s project for the installation of toilets on the premises

Admission Prices

Adults £3.50

Seniors (over 60) £3.00

Children (under 5′s go free) £1.50

Family (2 adults + 2 children) £6.50

Research Centre Free

We welcome all assistance dogs, water is available on request

Opening Hours

Tuesday - Saturday 10am-4pm Last admission 3:30pm. The Museum will close for Christmas at noon on 21st December 2023 and reopen 9th January 2024.
