Historic Pubs Walk with Paul Richards

NEWLAND HISTORIC PUBS TOUR FROM TRUE’S YARD ON

22nd JUNE 2018 (6PM-8PM)

  • Please meet at True’s Yard at 6pm. Donation of £5 a head requested for the benefit of the Museum. Guide: Paul Richards.
  • Lynn’s riverside streets and North End were the preferred locations of taverns which attracted its teeming maritime population. Part of Bagge’s brewery survives in King Street where almost every west side merchant property included maltings.
  • The walk from North Street to King Street will reveal the particular places and people associated with Lynn’s drink trade since 1700.
  • Though many of Lynn’s past pubs are now private property or demolished, some historic hostelries remain, and 3 visits for refreshments will be made!
