Older Person’s Open Day
At True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum
Wednesday 8th February 2023
Over 60’s are encouraged to visit True’s Yard for FREE. They can explore the Museum, watch several short Local History films made by Northender Arthur Paynter. Subjects include King’s Lynn, maritime history and folk song.
There will also be activities such as a Local History Photo Quiz, plus an opportunity to help identify some recently donated images to the Museum.
Visitors can also enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee for just £1 and a free refill in the museum’s Georgian tearoom.
Visitors to this event can also view the Pat Midgley Research Centre and have the opportunity to contribute their own oral history or write memories of the local area into special memory books.
True’s Yard is located on the corner of North Street/St Ann’s Street and has wheelchair access throughout most of the museum. Carers will also be able to enter free of charge.
